You just need to keep a healthy level of real life activity to balance the video game activity.
#WHERE CAN I PLAY CITY OF HEROES TV#
TV and video games are the same, that is how they get you hooked into them. Real life seems dull and unexciting in comparison. When you quit playing a video game, it can almost be like coming down from a high and you go into withdrawals. But after you invest so much time in a character, you have a hard time leaving it (and the group of friends you have made in-game).Īnother important part is that video games in general have a high level of feedback (colors, movement, sound) and they raise your expected level of stimulus. They claim to be having fun (and I know you *can* have fun) but the problem is that the level of fun diminishes and it becomes more work and I can see this in their behavior. The sad thing is that I have relatives and friends that play all the time. I have too much real life stuff going on for the in-game rewards to be worth striving for. I'm starting to come to grips with the fact that MMORPGs and me are not mixing any more. The rewards get harder and harder to get to without investing a significant amount of time. Before long, you need to spend a lot more time to make one level and/or get the reward. They start to make it harder to level, but keep trying to dangle a new and "better" reward in front of you.

That is biting the hook, then they reel you in. Give you the first few levels for very little effort - high reward, low effort. The reality is that all the MMORPGs are pretty much the same. I was pretty enthusiastic about WoW not that long ago. World of Warcraft is the perfect game for me. Not a big RTS fan, so this praise comes from a non-Blizzard player. Sidenote: I have played the previous Warcraft games and never really enjoyed them. At the risk of coming across as a fanboi, I think Blizzard has a huge hit on their hands. The music, the graphics, the gameplay, it is all so wonderful. I am constantly wandering into a new area and dropping my jaw at something new.

All I ever do is quest, I never go hunting for no reason. Each area is so different than the other areas. What they have done well is create a world that really pulls me into it. They haven't done anything dramatically different. I've played in just about every MMORPG made, but none seemed as amazing to me as this one does. Luckily I got into the WoW beta test and I'm blown away by it. Was fun for a good while, but I also grew tired of the rather shallow gameplay. Played CoH for a few months, beta and into retail. WoW3 is looking like they know what they are doing though. There are only a few enemie types, all same stupid personalities, about 3 buildings to fight in, a few others all the same thing, just different layout, hell, you have not even noticed that many of the the maps are all the same with walls in the same place, even parks and the like? Bugs remain all over and so on. The missions are dumb, here is city of heroes gameplay: The enemies are all the same except a few bosses, you will see. If your only at 14, you will see what I mean by 20 and leave like the thousands of us who waited for this game. I think your just impressed by flying at 14, yawn. I have deleted other characters including level 22's. Might check my other posts on this, I am in a team, I am level 38, so I have seen 14 hoss.
